Episode 455: Kris Lozano returns and talks Taylor Swift and Book Recommendations

Returning for a 6th episode and to help me get one week closer to the podcast’s 10th anniversary is Kris Lozano aka Cafe.Contessa on Instagram.  We get to catch up and talk about how long we’ve known each other before diving into a repeat topic, Taylor Swift.

We get to catch up and talk about how long we’ve known each other before diving into a repeat topic, Taylor Swift. Kris had joined me previously to talk about The Eras Tour once the movie had come out, and before we even had an inkling that a new album was on its way (TTPD). This time, Kris talks about the wrap up of the tour, the final concert that was recorded, plus the behind the scenes documentary. Plus, we revisit a few conversations about costumes and songs from that previous episode (linked below), as well as discuss a bit about the latest album.

Then, Kris and I talk about one of her biggest passions, reading. We talk about what books are on her shelf, what books she’d recommend, and what she’s looking forward to. We talk about Ana Huang’s “King” series (King of Gluttony releasing 4/28), “Not In My Book” by Katie Holt, and the “Never After” series by Emily McIntire.

We then wrap up with a little talk about Cosplay. Kris talks about where she is with Cosplay and whether she plans to continue with that part of her life, or hang it up in the closet.

Episode 369: Taylor Swift and The Eras Tour

A Taylor Swift centric episode was always going to be in the works. It was just a matter of when, where, and with who. After a successful first leg of The Eras Tour, and with the release of it into the movie theater and then Disney Plus, it was the perfect time to sit down and talk about Taylor, the tour, and the differences from Tour to Theater to streaming.

Episode 322: Kris Lozano returns and talks Dystopian movies

After making a comment on Instagram essentially agreeing with President Snow from The Hunger Games, I knew I needed to have Kris come back to the podcast to talk about that. What I didn’t know was that Kris has a disdain for the Dystopian genre!

Final Fantasy 35th Anniversary Special

2022 marks the 35th Anniversary of the Final Fantasy franchise. Created by Hironobu Sakaguchi and owned by Square (now Square Enix), the franchise has taken us to multiple worlds, introduced us to beloved characters, and continues to be one of the most dominant JRPG’s in the video game industry.

Avatar: The Last Airbender 15th Anniversary Special

Kris Lozano returns to discuss the 15th Anniversary of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Kris and I talk about how we both got into the series, along with discussions about the characters, the story and its impact in the Fandom culture.

Episode 174: Kris Lozano talks Final Fantasy, Disney, Kingdom Hearts and Cosplay

After finding some of her wonderful cosplay photos on Instagram, Kris Lozano joins me to talk about her favorite fandoms. We first discuss the long running video game franchise, Final Fantasy before diving into the massive Disney fandom. We also touch on the bridge between Final Fantasy and Disney – Kingdom Hearts.
